Dagens lunch Rosendals Trädgård

Garden café

The greenhouse café serves seasonal lunches, sandwiches and pastries. Whenever possible, we use vegetables grown in our own biodynamic garden, and all bread is baked in our artisan bakery. The café is organically certified.

We also serve wine, beer and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages, including our own homemade lemonade.

The café offers seating inside the greenhouse as well as on two large outdoor terraces, one of which is covered during the summer season. There is also seating in the orchard, where alcohol is not permitted.

Lunch is served daily from 11 am to 3 pm. Please note that we do not take table reservations or food pre-orders.

Farm shop

The farm shop sells bread and cakes from the wood-fired bakery, biodynamically grown vegetables from the garden, homemade preserves and pickles, as well as carefully selected books and crafts.

Artisan bakery

Rosendal’s artisan bakery was built in 1998. It is home to Stockholm’s largest wood-fired oven, weighing 16 tonnes.

The bakers work with organic ingredients and, whenever possible, heritage grains. Most of the breads are made with sourdough, and the selection varies with the seasons. They also make use of produce harvested by the gardeners.

Plant shop

The plant shop offers a carefully selected range of flowers and plants, seeds and tools for the urban gardener.

To mark Rosendal Garden’s 40th anniversary, we created a special Jubilee vase in collaboration with glass artist Linnea Hedenus.

From April to October, the plant shop also opens the plant yard, offering a carefully curated selection of garden plants.

Flower arrangements for parties, events and special occasions are available to order from our florists.

OUR GARDEN

Rosendal is a market garden with vegetable plots, greenhouses, a rose garden, an orchard, flower beds, compost areas and a vineyard. The site also includes a playground, an educational garden for children, a bakery, a plant shop, a farm shop and a café.

Pick your own bouquet

Our cut-your-own flower field opens in late July, depending on the weather.

Each year, our gardeners grow around 50 varieties of flowers and grasses using sustainable, organic methods and no pesticides. Visitors are welcome to harvest their own bouquet by borrowing scissors from the plant shop, where the flowers are weighed and paid for by weight.

Rosendal’s gardeners and florists also harvest flowers for events, weddings and other floral decorations, such as wreaths and flower walls. Working with the seasons, using sustainable materials and sourcing as locally as possible are all part of our commitment to the Slow Flowers movement.

The garden has a flat sloping angle and gravel paths.

READ MORE ABOUT ACCESSIBILITY

ENTRANCES

The entrance to the Garden Café has a higher threshold, a ramp will be brought by our staff if needed. The garden cafe entrance has two pairs of double doors and are opened manually. In the greenhouses there is a level difference with a step that separates the serving greenhouse from the dining room. The serving house has a brick floor and the floor of the ”dining room” is gravel.

Moving to new buildings in May 2024, will significantly improve accessibility to the garden café.

The plant shop greenhouse also has a single door with a threshold.

The large greenhouse, which is used for parties and events and for seating, has a sliding door and a staircase at one entrance. The lower end, facing the orchard has large double doors and no level difference.

The farm shop is located in a building with no difference in levels and has two single doors.

POINT OF ARRIVAL

There are two allocated disabled parking lots. For car/travel service use: GPS Rosendalsvägen 38. From the parking place to the garden cafe it is approx. 70 metres.

TOILET

The accessible toilet is located in the same building as the Farmshop. The toilet has the same opening hours as the garden, i.e. 11-16, but is also open during booked events in the evening.
