Soak up the garden in the evening sun! From late June through the second-to-last week of August, we reopen Herbarium Restaurant & Garden Bar for summer evenings – a unique, hyper-local dining experience nestled in lush greenery.
Just a short bike ride or stroll from the city, and suddenly… you’re in the middle of our garden.
For Herbarium the chefs move outdoors and fire up the outdoor kitchen oven, checking in with the gardeners on what’s ready to harvest. We set the tables on the courtyard and the piazza next to the orchard. If the weather turns, you’re welcome to sit in our large greenhouse.

5 PM – 11 PM (kitchen closes at 8:30 PM, the bar closes at 10.30PM)

THE HERBARIUM MENUE CONSISTS OF SMALLER DISHES
We serve a seasonal menu that highlights what’s fresh here and now – sourced from our own biodynamic garden or from local farmers and small-scale producers in our network.
The menu is crafted around these ingredients. While vegetables are at the heart of what we do, you may also find meat, fish, or shellfish on your plate.
The menu features a variety of small dishes, along with snacks and freshly baked bread. We recommend choosing 2–3 dishes for a full meal – or just one, if you’re in the mood for something lighter.
THE GARDEN BAR
Right next to the restaurant is our Garden Bar – perfect for a glass of wine or a garden-inspired cocktail while waiting for your table or simply enjoying the piazza by the orchard.
Our drinks are rooted in the garden and the seasons. Expect summer-fresh flavors like rhubarb with lemon balm for the opening week.
The wine list features small-scale winemakers working naturally in their vineyards, and our non-alcoholic options come from top-quality Swedish producers.
We also offer a selection of craft beers, with a focus on local microbreweries.
READY FOR ANY WEATHER
When the sun’s out, we dine under open skies, surrounded by lush perennial borders, climbing roses, hornbeam hedges, and grapevines.
If the weather changes, we move both the restaurant and the garden bar into our spacious greenhouse.
Herbarium is not just about the food and drinks – summer evenings are made for fun! Challenge your friends to a game of pétanque, kubb or a board game.
All games and equipment can be borrowed from the bar.
